GameLink Joins 'Movember' Cause for Men's Health

SAN FRANCISCO — GameLink.com today announced its support for men’s health charity Movember, where men around the world grow a moustache during the month of November to raise money and awareness for men’s well being.

The cause focuses on prostate and testicular cancers, and mental health.

A team page has been set up on Movember.com by GameLink vice president of  business development and marketing, Jeff Dillon. He urges men and women to join his team and/or pledge a donation that will directly help men’s health charities, including the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Livestrong Foundation.

To add a fun twist, GameLink is highlighting and selling products from the Screaming O “Mustachio Vibrating Fun Stache,”  thats proceeds will be donated to charity.

Dillon, who dubbed his team “GameLink.com Pornstaches,” said he is excited to promote an incredibly creative product, and give to a very important cause. “This is a great way for us GameLink.comers, our incredible customers and our loyal fans to get that ‘porn’ look and raise money.”

The charity is in its seventh year of carrying on the tradition of men registering at Movember.com clean-shaven, then growing a moustache for 30 days to generate a conversation about general health, nutrition, fitness and early detection of cancer that may save a life. Proceeds help accelerate research and develop the latest therapy treatment as well as comprehensive support services and more to those in need.

“A moustache is the mark of a man, and today it is a symbol to spark conversations about important health issues,” Dillon added. “Guys, pledge to grow a mo and ladies, join the team. It’s going to be a hairy journey and I want you to be a part of it.”
